The Kick Start Club is a non-profit making club whose aim is to allow safe and legal participation of motorcycle riding for young people aged between 12 and 18 years old.
The track is located at Gale Common, Whitley Bridge
The club consists of 10 core members who work at the track as marshals /coordinators and two supervisory adults providing a riding venue for the youths of the Wakefield District five towns areas. The core members have the use of two off road bikes and riding equipment and receive training in motorcycle maintenance and mechanic skills.

The club also has places for up to thirty Associate members who may ride their own machines at the track during designated riding days.

The club charges £10 per day to Associate members which pays for track overheads and Public Liability Insurance.
Membership is free but subject to availability of places and acceptance of the Rules of the club, Parental disclaimer and personal details being supplied on an Application form. Core membership is subject to an interview.
All members details are kept strictly confidential in accordance with the Data Protection Act
Machines brought to the track must meet with the standards of a ten point safety check before they will be allowed on the circuit (10 point safety check)
The club is funded through the Wakefield Opportunities Fund ( YOF)
Parents are welcome to attend and assist.
