To practice at the Kickstart Club track you are required to join the above Club . This requires you to read and accept the club rules and provide some information about yourself which will be kept confidential. You will be signing to agree to abide by all the rules and understand that failure to do so will result in your rider membership being removed.
Rules and Regulations
1. The track must not be used at any other time other than when officially open
2. The track has a maximum number of 15 riders per session/ ability group.
3. Only ‘registered’ members may practice. Guests and other ‘unknown persons’ must not ride any bike at the track without first joining.
4. Riders must sign in and provide up to date next of kin details before entry onto the track.
5. It is the rider’s or parent / guardian of the rider’s responsibility to ensure their machine is safe to ride and has fully functioning operating controls. If the machine is found to be in an unsafe condition when scrutinised by the Marshal it will not be allowed to be ridden until repaired.
6.It is the responsibility of the rider or parent/ guardian of the rider to ensure that riding equipment is suitable to offer adequate protection. A minimum of approved motorcycle helmet, chest protector and suitable boots must be worn whilst riding
7.Helmets must be fastened with a chin strap.
8.A chest protector or body armour must be worn by Youths riding at the track
9.No riding with pillion passengers
10.Bikes must be effectively silenced below 96 Decibel, Loud race pipes are not permitted.
11.All rubbish must be either taken away with you or disposed of in the bins provided.
12.Dogs must be on a lead at all times
13.No riding in the paddock or to/from the paddock area. Anyone breaking this rule will WARNED ONCE and then be asked to leave and will have their membership terminated.
14.No rider/ parent or other person may walk across the track without wearing a Fluorescent High Visibility tabard or coat
15. Novice riders with limited experience of riding a motorbike must pass a basic competence test of machine handling before being allowed to ride at the track. Details are available separately. Free training is available.
16. Riders may be classified into groups according to their ability. It is at the Senior Marshal or responsible adults discretion to promote or relegate a rider who they feel has been grouped inappropriately or has simply improved.
17. Riders must not practice when it is not their designated track time. Ability levels may be separated in the interests of safety.
18. Never ride in the wrong direction on the track or cut out sections
19. Observe the track Marshals instructions and warnings Flags;-
◦Yellow Flag- Ride with Caution, do not launch off jumps be aware of hazards on the track ie; fallen rider
◦Red Flag- Stop! Turn off engine and wait for instructions
20. Never cut out any part of the track.
21. Vehicles must not be parked in a manner that would obstruct or hinder the access of Emergency vehicles.
22. The junior track is for young riders and parents are encouraged to assist the official track Marshal in supervising the users of the track. Hi vis coats must be worn and the track rules/ warning flags understood.
23. General walking of the track is not permitted during practice sessions.
24. Racing or dangerously aggressive riding is not permitted on the track. It is a practice track only and Safety is the primary concern. Riders who ‘cut up’ or ‘intimidate’ other less able riders will be given a warning by officials then asked to leave.
